Bowel Cancer Kits

21 February 2011

To date, bowel cancer remains the second biggest cancer killer for Australians, but also remains highly treatable with a 90% cure rate if detected early. Unfortunately only 40% of Australians take the test early, a problem The Brisbane South Group has aimed to resolve with their Rotary Bowel scan programs each year by raising awareness about bowel cancer and offering a way for Queenslander's to test themselves.

Building on the success and popularity of the “Never Too Young” campaign last year which saw five local Queenslander's dance in their underwear in a YouTube video to bring public discussion about bowel cancer to the world stage The Brisbane South Group this year aims to make it bigger and better by encouraging more people, young and old, to get involved.

This event aims to break a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed only in their underwear in order to spread the awareness of bowel cancer further.
