Our Charities

February is recognised as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month throughout Australia.

Every year in Australia, 4,800 women are diagnosed with ovarian and gynecological cancer. Typically 1,200 of these women will not survive.  These women are our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives and daughters.

The Battle is a fun, friendly beach volleyball tournament for players of all levels that raises much-needed funds for ovarian and gynaecological cancer research.

Here at Malouf Pharmacies, we believe that women care in the same way that we do - by providing support, advice and comfort to each other. Therefore we are committed to supporting the research that will provide them, and all of us, a brighter future.

We are proud to be sponsors of the Battle and are excited to be entering a corporate team into the beach volleyball tournament.

The Battle Against Ovarian Cancer is an initiative of the Cherish Foundation, established in 2012. Cherish is a Queensland based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising public awareness and funding for the worlds best Australian research into beating gynecological cancers.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the world's largest charitable supporter of type 1 diabetes research. JDRF was founded in 1970 in the US and 1982 in Australia by a group of determined volunteers. Internationally, JDRF has been involved in every major type 1 diabetes breakthrough of the last three decades.

JDRF-funded researchers have driven the advancement of day-to-day disease management tools and accelerated the pace of research. Throughout all local and international activities JDRF's mission remains constant - to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

For the month of October, all Malouf Pharmacies stores located in Queensland raised funds for this worthy cause by hosting a month of in store JDRF activities, culminating in a Walk to Cure Party for customers and the local community.

All monies raised go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation charity.
